In May 2020, without her knowledge or consent, three intimate videos of Wing were uploaded to the site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat does one have when you\u2019ve lost your privacy in the worst way?\u201d said Wing. \u201cThis is a violation of the most egregious kind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wing is one of thousands of Canadians who may have fallen victim to sexual exploitation. Damages claimed by this proposed class are estimated to be up to $500 million excluding additional punitive or aggravated damages.<\/p>\n<p>The class includes any or all individuals in Canada who appeared in sexual content disseminated by the defendants, including intimate videos or images. Such content may include sexual abuse material, child sexual abuse and all other non-consensual intimate content. Many of these images and videos may still reside on the defendant\u2019s domain, despite repeated requests for said content\u2019s removal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is astonishing how little safeguards PornHub had against harm,\u201d said Darryl Singer, Head of Commercial and Civil litigation at Diamond and Diamond Lawyers. \u201cWe\u2019re talking about a business built on under-age, non-consensual and pirated content.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diamond and Diamond\u2019s class-action follows additional suits against the defendant across the globe, including a $600 million suit by a Plaintiff known as Jane Doe.
