From the reports, the most common issues were depression, anxiety disorders, and stress response syndromes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><b>Depression<\/b><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/diamondlaw.ca\/ontario-depression-disability-lawyer\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depression<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a mood disorder described as losing interest and enjoyment, reduced energy, and a lower mood. It isn\u2019t simply feeling sad. Currently, there are different types and symptoms of depression, and there are varying levels of severity and symptoms experienced related to depression.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People should be wary of depression since, if left untreated, it can lead to an increased risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviours.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><b>Anxiety Disorders<\/b><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anxiety disorders are a collection of mental health issues that includes generalised anxiety disorders, social phobias, specific phobias (claustrophobia, agoraphobia, etc.), panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic disorder (PTSD). When left untreated, anxiety disorders can negatively impact a person\u2019s ability to enjoy and perform daily activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><b>Stress Response Syndromes (Adjustment Disorders):<\/b><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When a person develops emotional or behavioral symptoms in response to stressful events or situations, the condition can be classified as a stress response syndrome. Stressful events may include natural disasters (earthquakes, tornados, floods), events or crises (car accidents, diagnosis of a major illness), or interpersonal problems (divorce, death of a loved one, loss of a job, problems with substance abuse).<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stress response syndromes usually happen within three months after the event or situation started and end within six months after the stressor stops. In Ontario, there is a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/diamondlaw.ca\/stress-leave-under-new-ontario-sick-leave-rules\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stress leave<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that people can use whenever they\u2019re experiencing such conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><b>Dealing with Mental Health Issues<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><b>Self-care strategies<\/b><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through self-care strategies, you can significantly enhance your mental and physical health, and it can help you take charge of your life.
